Grebes (pronounced: greeb) are widely distributed waterfowl often known for their elaborate breeding displays and gregarious nature. Some species even “race” on the surface of the water in an effort to defend a territory or gain a mate. A completely unique bird with their long spoon-shaped beak, Spoonbills are as eccentric as they are eye catching. Inhabiting coastal marshes and wetlands, these long-legged birds feed by sweeping their “spoon” from side to side in the shallow water or mud. Our Spoonbill model is also a bit of an eccentric board drawing inspiration from “pig” boards of the 60’s with a prominent step deck. The pinched rails, pintail, narrower profile, and “reduced swing weight” of the step deck combine to create fast trim with smooth, sweeping turns. A great board for noseriding in steeper beach breaks or long point breaks. Footwork highly encouraged.
Features:
Step deck
Wide point well behind center
Pinched rails
Pintail
Singlefin
Recommended size range: 9’4” - 10’6”
With their tall, slender body and mesmerizing flight, spotting a Heron is always a moment of surprise and intrigue. While hunting, their slow and deliberate stalking stands in sharp contrast with their lightning fast and precise attack. As a true glider, our Heron model is the longest surfboard in our flock. Featuring a sleek and slender outline with intriguing bottom contours, the Heron is designed for creating a unique gliding sensation on the smallest of days. Though not necessarily an intuitive board, those who spend the time to understand the complexity of the design are rewarded with a mesmerizing surfing experience.
Features:
Rolled entry
Wide point forward
Long, deep double concaves through the tail
Pronounced “v” through the tail
Singlefin
Recommended size range: 10’6” and up
The Harrier is a medium sized raptor known for its slow and smooth hunting style over coastal marshes and grasslands. While hunting, Harriers will stall mid-flight and suspend themselves in the air before aggressively diving for their prey. Our Harrier model also enjoys a slow and smooth style, but can be aggressive when the situation requires. Designed as a shorter glider alternative to the Heron, the Harrier performs well when surfed like a classic log, where cross-stepping and drop-knee turns are encouraged (but not necessary). A perfect board for mellow days spent cruising the coast.
Features:
Relaxed rocker
Pinched rails
Widepoint center
Square tail
Panel “v” through the fin
Hard edge begins around fin box
Singlefin
Recommended size range: 8’0” - 10’0”

Singlefin or 2+1 fin setup
Recommended size range: 8’10” - 10’0”

Inspired by their strong and smooth flight, our Whimbrel model is designed for drawn out bottom turns and down-the-line speed on long, lined up waves. Though designed as a mid-length, the Whimbrel template can easily accommodate nearly any length for exploring the glide of this unique board.

Similar to gulls, but stockier and much more aggressive, these long distance migrants are known for attacking and stealing food from other birds. With it’s high volume, stocky profile, and aggressive bottom contours, our Skua model will allow you to snatch waves on even the small days. We just don’t recommend stealing waves from your fellow migrators (even if you’re able to!).

5-fin setup for versatility
Moderately deep double barrel “v” through the fin cluster
Recommended Size Range: 5’6” - 8’0”
Swooping and darting over open waters, marshes, and fields while foraging for insects, the Swallow is a master at maneuvering through the air. Some species of swallows are even known for migrating the farthest distances among the passerines (aka: perching birds). Mimicking the forked tails and fast, agile flight, the Swallow model is our take on the classic twin fin fish. While the Swallow is capable of groveling in mushy surf, it shines in clean, punchy waves up to a foot or two overhead where speed and agility are assets. A good option for slimming your quiver while migrating over long distances.
Features:
Twin fin
Wide point forward
Beak nose
Single concave through the tail
Glass-on fins recommended
Single foiled or double foiled fins available
Recommended Size Range: 5’3” - 6’3”
While the short, plump, and round stature of most plover species might lead one to doubt their flying ability, do not be deceived. Plovers are fast and agile through the air. Likewise, our short, plump, and round Plover model speeds through sections that lesser boards get caught behind, all while being surprisingly nimble. A great board for waves up to head high, or slightly bigger. We recommend riding this board as short as you possibly can go.
Features:
Quad fin setup
Rolled belly entry transitioning to panel “v” through the tail
Fins set closer to the tail
Available in baby swallowtail or arctail.
Recommended Size Range: 4’11” - 5’11”
